Introducing an exciting technology new to New Brunswick

Plexr Plus: Non-invasive Surgery with Plasma Technology

Plasma technology was conceived and developed by GMV, a company with over 10 years of experience in plasma technology. This was the first plasma device in the world used in aesthetic medicine, and it is internationally patented. Applications of Plexr Plus involve different medical disciplines, including: dermatology, aesthetic medicine, oculoplasty, dentistry, and gynecology.

Now a non-surgical solution for a variety of skin concerns, previously difficult to treat with injectables.

Main uses:

  • Correcting hooded and droopy eyelids (blepharoplasty)

  • Wrinkle correction and skin rejuvenation for face and neck (crow’s feet, lip lines, etc)

  • Improving scars, including keloids

  • Treating moles, skin tags and other unwanted superficial skin lesions

How does it work?

Unwanted tissue is eradicated through ‘sublimation’, where solid matter is turned into ionized gas (‘plasma’). The treatment gives instant results through tissue retraction. This is achieved without harmful heat generation in the dermis – unlike laser treatment, where it can be difficult to control the collateral damage.

The results keep improving over the following months, through remodeling and formation of new collagen in your skin.

How long is the treatment?

The duration of treatment is variable depending on the type of operation to be performed but never exceeds 30 minutes, the time necessary for a non-surgical blepharoplasty. Other treatments. such as the removal of seborrheic keratosis, require only a few minutes.

How long are the results? Are they lasting?

The results are immediately visible and longer lasting than other treatments. For some types of treatments, it may take more than one session to maximize the effectiveness of the result.  You may require a touch up after 2-3 years.

Does it hurt?

The treatment is practically painless for the most part but a small amount of anesthetic cream can be applied to more sensitive areas to be treated.
